Endoscopy Excellence at Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare Al-Hasa Health Center

Under the leadership of Dr. Mohammad Al Ghamdi, Chief of the Southern Area, Al-Hasa Health Center continues to demonstrate measurable clinical and operational excellence.

In 2025, the Endoscopy Unit achieved a major milestone by performing over 1,000 endoscopic procedures, reflecting growing community trust and high clinical capability. Services included colon endoscopy, gastroscopy, gastrostomy tube placement, flexible sigmoidoscopy and ERCP procedures.

Patient access to care significantly improved, with waiting times reduced by 30.70% from 2024 to 2025. The unit also maintained high safety compliance and zero major incidents, reinforcing strong commitment to patient safety and quality care at Al-Hasa Health Center.

This success was driven by a highly coordinated multidisciplinary team. Special appreciation goes to Dr. Mohammad Elsadiq and Dr. Ahmed Busbaih for their clinical leadership, Dr. Suliman Babkir, Manager of Specialty Medicine, for operational support, and Dr. Abdullah Almulla, Medical Director, for his strategic leadership. Sincere thanks are also extended to the nursing and anesthesia teams for their essential role in delivering safe and efficient care.
