General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

Michael Rogers is the General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare, effective April 1, 2025. In this role, he provides primary oversight of legal affairs, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance, supporting Board and Shareholder governance, business ethics, and compliance initiatives as JHAH expands its services to serve a broader patient base.

His experience in healthcare law, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance has been extensive and varied. Before joining JHAH, Rogers served as Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, from February 2020 to February 2025. In this capacity, he oversaw legal operations and led strategic initiatives for the nonprofit organization serving the elderly with health support services, managing legal affairs and corporate governance across the organization.

Prior to that role, Rogers served as Associate General Counsel at EmpRes Healthcare Management, LLC, in Vancouver, Washington, from March 2011 to February 2020. He provided comprehensive legal services including contracts review, litigation management, mergers and acquisitions, risk mitigation, and corporate policy development across healthcare operations.

Earlier in his career, Rogers served as Transactions Counsel at the University of Oregon from November 2007 to March 2011, where he managed contract review and negotiation, oversaw purchasing processes, and developed contracting policies for the institution. He began his legal career as a Law Clerk at Girvin and Ferlazzo, PC, from September 2006 to November 2007, gaining experience in estate planning and litigation. During his legal education, he also served as a Summer Law Clerk at Pacific Continental Bank from May 2006 to September 2006, where he developed corporate policies and participated in banking litigation, and as a Law Clerk at Ganje Law Offices from September 2005 to September 2006, providing legal advice to small businesses and drafting corporate documents.

Rogers earned his Juris Doctor degree from Albany Law School of Union University in 2007, where he focused on Business Law and Estate Planning. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Union College, which he completed in 2005, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Marketing and a minor in Economics from the University of Oregon in 2003, where he served as a member of the Dean's Advisory Board. He completed his transfer studies at Lane Community College from 1998 to 2000.

With his broad expertise in legal strategy, regulatory affairs, healthcare operations, and risk management, Rogers brings valuable leadership to JHAH's legal function during this period of strategic growth and transformation.
