Take our prediabetes test
Saudi Arabia has one of the highest rates of diabetes in the world, and many more people in the Kingdom have been diagnosed with prediabetes. As you can develop prediabetes without showing any obvious symptoms, it is often referred to as a ‘silent disease’. Our specialists at Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) are committed to promoting awareness of the condition, and helping those at risk manage their lifestyle for a more fulfilling future.
What is prediabetes?
Prediabetes is a medical condition where a person’s blood-sugar level is higher than normal. People diagnosed with prediabetes are at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes, which can lead to health problems including chronic heart disease, stroke, blindness and kidney failure.
What are my chances of developing prediabetes?
If you are concerned about developing prediabetes or type 2 diabetes, please arrange a consultation with your Primary Care physician. The good news is that prediabetes can often be reversed by introducing physical activity and a balanced, nutritious diet.
